Pietas Healthcare
Healthcare brand and recruitment platform for a UK domiciliary care provider. Credibility-first design for a sector built on trust.

How it was done
A premium digital experience for care, recruitment, and trust.
Pietas Healthcare operates across two connected but distinct areas of healthcare: domiciliary care for individuals and families, and healthcare recruitment for NHS trusts, private practices, and care homes.
The challenge was to create one digital experience capable of speaking confidently to both audiences without either side feeling secondary.
Evuve approached the project by treating the website not simply as a collection of pages, but as an extension of Pietas’ positioning: credible, human, refined, and deeply trustworthy.
Discovery & Positioning
The first challenge was positioning.
Healthcare websites often fall into familiar visual patterns: clinical blues, sterile layouts, generic stock photography, and predictable service-card grids. For Pietas, that approach would have weakened the brand.
We positioned Pietas as a premium, trust-led healthcare provider—closer in feeling to a private healthcare concierge than a conventional care agency.
That decision became the foundation for the entire experience.
Every visual choice was considered against three questions:
Does it communicate trust?
Does it feel human?
Does it feel premium without becoming inaccessible?
The answer shaped everything from typography and colour to photography, spacing, motion, and interaction.
Visual Direction
The visual language was deliberately restrained.
Rather than relying on visual noise to communicate professionalism, we used typography, proportion, whitespace, and subtle movement to create authority.
Typography
Cormorant Garamond was selected for headings and pull-quotes, introducing editorial character, warmth, and gravitas.
Inter was used for supporting copy, providing a clean and highly legible counterpoint.
Together, the pairing gives the site more of an editorial and publishing character than a conventional healthcare or SaaS aesthetic.
Colour
The palette uses warm, muted earth tones.
A soft cream background sits against a deep, slightly desaturated green primary colour. Pure white and pure black were intentionally avoided.
The result is calm and dignified rather than clinical.
Form
We deliberately avoided heavy shadows, excessive borders, and rounded-card conventions.
Cards use subtle tonal differences and hairline borders, while generous whitespace creates hierarchy.
The radius system is intentionally set to zero, giving the interface a sharper editorial and architectural character.
Structure & Narrative
The homepage was designed as a continuous narrative rather than a collection of disconnected sections.
The experience begins with an oversized hero, introducing Pietas with a split typographic composition, subtle parallax, and two clear calls to action.
A scrolling service marquee then creates a visual pause while reinforcing the breadth of Pietas’ offering.
A full-bleed image follows, allowing the photography to communicate without competing text or overlays.
The About section introduces the organisation through an asymmetric composition of portraiture, accreditations, and editorial-style messaging.
Rather than using the expected three-card service grid, the Services section uses elegant numbered rows. Hover interactions introduce movement and direction while keeping the interface minimal.
The Why Choose Us section combines full-bleed imagery with an overlay statement and a three-column benefits system.
The Team section shifts into a darker visual environment, creating contrast and rhythm as the user moves through the page.
Finally, the Contact section uses a full-bleed photographic background with a glassmorphic form panel, creating a strong closing moment without overwhelming the conversion experience.
On the Services page, a full-width separator image divides Domiciliary Care and Recruitment, giving the page a stronger sense of pacing and distinction between the two audiences.
Motion & Interaction
Motion was treated as atmosphere rather than spectacle.
We deliberately avoided excessive animation, bouncy transitions, and interactions that compete with the content.
A custom reveal system uses Intersection Observer to introduce content progressively as it enters the viewport, with controlled staggered delays creating a natural reading rhythm.
The hero uses scroll-based transformations to create a subtle parallax relationship between the heading and background wordmark.
Photography uses slow scale transitions on hover, creating a cinematic quality rather than a conventional UI interaction.
Low-opacity ambient glows move quietly behind selected sections, adding depth without becoming a distraction.
The contact section uses a slow zoom animation to give the background image an almost imperceptible sense of life.
The principle was simple:
Motion should make the experience feel alive, not make users notice the animation.
Responsive by Design
The experience was designed mobile-first and then refined across larger breakpoints.
Asymmetric desktop compositions collapse naturally into single-column layouts.
The split hero becomes a stacked composition.
Service rows reflow for smaller screens.
The contact form expands to make better use of mobile space.
Touch targets, interaction states, typography, spacing, and image proportions were all considered across device sizes.
The objective was not simply to make the desktop design “fit” on mobile.
It was to make the experience feel intentionally designed for every screen.
A System, Not Just a Website
Behind the visual design sits a reusable design system that keeps the experience consistent across Home, Services, About, Team, and Contact.
Shared reveal animations and decorative SVG components create continuity throughout the interface.
Colour, typography, radius, and other design tokens are managed centrally through CSS custom properties and Tailwind configuration rather than being repeatedly hardcoded throughout individual components.
The header dynamically adapts its contrast depending on the visual environment of each page, while the footer consistently reinforces the Pietas identity and key contact information.
This makes the website easier to maintain, extend, and evolve.
The Outcome
The final experience positions Pietas as more than a healthcare provider.
It creates a digital environment that communicates care, credibility, expertise, and premium service simultaneously.
Care-seekers are given a calm and reassuring experience.
Healthcare organisations and recruitment partners are given a professional, credible entry point.
And Pietas receives a digital identity that feels aligned with the level of service it wants to represent.
The result is intentionally quiet.
It doesn’t try to shout.
It establishes trust through clarity, restraint, and detail.
